This years pumpkins and Halloween

Drum roll please!!

I decided it would be cool to keep doing pictures of my child every year as she (and eventually they) grow. Ben did an awesome ironman.
Payton was an adorable zebra along with her cousin Eliza. They had a lot of fun trick or treating! I think us first time parents were the most excited though. I mean Halloween hasn't been this exciting since we were about 8 years old.

New hair!

So I have been hating my hair lately. It's so fine anyways but since having Payton sooo much fell out! What I have left is sort of pathetic and whimpy. So I went in today to just give up and cut it short again. I also wanted to get a keratin treatment done which essentially smooths the hair out for 3 months at a time. But when I sat down with the hair stylist she helped me to understand that I can get my ideal hair I just need some help. So she gave me some shampoo and conditioner and product to apply to my scalp that will promote growth and thickening of the hair. So I didn't have to chop it off after all! While its not where I want it to be right now. Hopefully it will be in a few months. Overall I'm happy with it!

It fall... Finally!

I  LOVE fall. It is my most favorite time of year. It starts off with football and pumpkin carving and then you get awesome food in the middle of it to be finished off with Christmas, our anniversary and New Years nerf gun war. What is not to love about all of that!! So in honor of the brisk weather I have decided to post some pictures of Pay in her many hats. I must say she pulls a hat off very well.  It starts off with the most recent and moves backwards

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin.

So for the last few years I have taken my pumpkin carving very seriously. The first year I carved a pumpkin for my mother in law with an image of Obama since it was an election season and she is a big Obama supporter. I did it mostly to test the waters and see if I could do it. So the next year I stepped it up and decided to put Ory on a pumpkin and helped Ben stencil his proclaiming he won National Manager of the Year for his company College Works Painting
Isn't he so cute!!

A friend of mine joked that the next year she expected to see a pumpkin with our baby carved on it. So the next year I did just that and Payton's face glowed on my pumpkin. Ben added to our obsession with our daughter by carving her initials in his pumpkin.
 This is the stencil

Now I am finding myself unable to decide what to do. I guess I should get over tying to bet my previous year because last years was pretty much awesome.
So I am asking you! My few fellow blogging followers... what should I do this year? We are heading to the pumpkin patch this weekend and 'd like to have it decided before hand so I know what size/shape pumpkin to look for.

The following pictures are Payton's first Halloween! I had class at night and they didn't give us Halloween off. In fact they scheduled a midterm that night :( So I missed it and missed taking a million pictures. She went to a total of two houses and she dressed up like Tinkerbell!!  This year her and her cousin Eliza will be matching as the cutest little zebras ever.

I can post from my phone!!

So excited! So here's a cute picture of us at the beach to celebrate. We found a starfish!!

Christmas

I LOVE Christmas. Not only do I have fond childhood memories but our first years as newly weds was spent in Germany which is the Christmas capital of the world! and the very best place for Christmas. Every single year I find myself wishing that I was back there again.
Here are a few photos of this year's Christmas events. It was Payton's first and so much fun! Although I didnt take too many because I was mostly taking care of her. I cannot wait for this year though because she will be older and a little bit more aware of the excitment of it all!!!!

On Christmas eve we took Payton to see Santa Claus.  I set her there and she looked right at him and then...

Screamed. She was not happy. I have been working with her all year to get her excited to see him this year. We have been reading Christmas books, looking at Santa pictures and watching Santa videos on Youtube. If she see an image of Santa she says, "ho ho ho!" I hope we will have a good visit this time.

so in the middle of the night Payton decided to throw up all over me and daddy. We were so bummed because we thought she was going to be sick on Christmas! Apparently she just needed to ruin her special Christmas pajamas and was fine after that.

Auntie Rachel and Uncle Josh had a great time spoiling her this year.

After opening presents at Grandpa and Grandma Aeby's we headed off to Aunt Marcene's to see the great grandparents and all the family.

Here is Payton with cousin Mya in their Christmas attire.

Here is Payton and Mya with Great Grandma Guthrie. She got them those adorable little boots they are wearing.
After watching her struggle to crawl in her little dress I decided to dress her in something else. Just look at that adorable face!

Ps. It took me over an hour to post this, we are starting to potty train and Payton comes up to me often telling me she has to go "poo poo".  Now I have to go get ready for an appointment BUT I promise more to come!

Kenna and Jason!!!!!!

Let me first say that I am so so so so so so so so so so sorry I havent posted in about a year. You are the only ones who look at my blog and I with facebook I forget to come on here and update. BUT now that both Ben and I have decided to quit that facebook business I will be on here more.
Soooo... In order to avoid another holocaust I am just going to stop talking and post pictures!
