Katelyn's 16th birthday cake

The family was going to be in Utah for Kaite's birthday (which is today, Happy Birthday Katie!) and I really wanted to make her a birthday cake, so we decided to do a little celebration while we were at the park for the 4th of July. This is the cake I made! The bottom tier was roads on a green background.
The top tier was clouds on a blue sky with traffic signals placed randomly.

I made a few stop signs and some little cars to go on the cake.

The topper was this sun that had the number 16 on it.

And here it is! It turned out pretty cute! The only things that bothers me is that i didn't bring frosting to cover up the cake board between the tiers. Oh well, it still turned out cute.

us singing happy birthday and it all lit up.

Miriam could not wait to "eat one of the cars." She had her eye on them as soon as she knew they were edible.

After we ate some of the cake we reassembled the half eaten cars to make a car wreck scene, with the added touches of flames from the sun. It is pretty funny.

Freak dude...The next thing that you're going to do is combine your scrapbooking and cake decorating and make a scrap book cake...I mean if that idea makes you a millionaire, I get a cut.

Cake Scraps is the Jason came up with that. He said if that takes off, he gets a cut too. Not Adolf at all!!
